From Tuesday 30 November 2021 it will become a legal requirement for people to wear face coverings in shops and on public transport in England. Gloucestershire County Council has also announced today that they will be making the wearing of face coverings mandatory on their mainstream school transport from Tuesday morning.
As a company, we have a duty of care towards our employees and passengers and, given this latest change in Government advice, we have taken the decision to bring our policy on the wearing of face coverings in line with travel on public transport and mainstream school transport. From Tuesday 30 November 2021 it will, therefore, become mandatory for any student travelling on our Home to School Transport Service to wear a face covering throughout their journey to and from school, unless they are exempt. Students must put their face covering on before boarding the vehicle and keep it on for the entire journey until they alight the vehicle.
