Drivers
Our driving staff have all completed the relevant modules of the new generation of industry training courses, leading to the awards of the Certificate of Professional Competence and all our drivers hold Enhanced DBS Checks and are registered with the DBS Update Service.
The Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (Driver CPC) is a qualification for professional bus and coach drivers. It was introduced across Europe with the professed aim of improving road safety and helping to maintain high standards of driving.
All drivers at Bennetts Coaches are required to have obtained this qualification prior to joining us and are then required to undertake a further minimum of 35 hours of periodic training within a 5-year period in order to retain this qualification, which is required in order to drive a bus or coach in a professional capacity.
Mechanics
All vehicles are parked at our secure facility in Gloucester and maintained in-house by our own staff. We have won a second ‘Golden Spanner’ Award for our Gold Standard workshop operations and fleet maintenance. All workshop staff are IRTEC Inspection Technician and Service Maintenance Technician trained as well as Wheel Fit trained. IRTEC is a renewable and voluntary accreditation scheme that assesses the safety and competence of technicians who maintain and repair vehicles in the passenger carrying industry.
